Dairymaster are currently recruiting for: Laser Nesting Programmers

Job Type: Full Time
Location: Dairymaster Global Headquarters, Causeway, Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ireland.

Role

  • As a Laser Nesting Programmer, you will be responsible for the programming and delivery of sheet metal and tube profiles in our fast-paced manufacturing facility.
  • The role would suit someone who has confident experience in sheet metal, working with flatbed Lasers undertaking both programming and operation. The role is interesting and varied working on repeat stock orders and one-off custom parts.
  • Experience with Sigmanest and Trumpf Trutops software would be a distinct advantage but not a perquisite.
  • The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and keen to take on direct responsibility for the function. You will need good communication skills.
  • Experience and a solid knowledge of manufacturing, production scheduling is desirable.

Requirements:

  • Third level qualification in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Experience of the following is a distinct advantage but not a prerequisite: Sigmanest, Trumpf Trutops Software, SAP Business One, Production Planning & Scheduling Software, Manufacturing Execution System.
  • Nesting of sheet metal profiles and tube profiles on Trumpf Laser Cutting Machines.
  • Be familiar with stainless steel and mild steel sheet and tube materials.
  • Maximise sheet and tube utilization and minimise waste.
  • Maintain acceptable stock levels of laser cut parts throughout the factory.
  • Generate works orders with acceptable lead times.
  • Plan and schedule works orders.
  • Be familiar with the operation and maintenance of laser cutting machines.
  • Ability to operate laser machines an advantage.
  • Interpret drawings and bills of materials from the design department.
  • Be familiar and have a basic ability with 2D and 3D CAD.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Work as a team and be self-motivated to work independently.
  • Energetic and eager to learn and implement new technologies when required.
  • Focused on keeping your knowledge up to date.

Viewing of a portfolio either online or soft copy is desirable.
