Production Department Supervisor

Dairymaster are currently recruiting for: Production Department Supervisor

Job Type: Full Time
Location: Dairymaster Global Headquarters, Causeway, Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ireland.

Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

• Primary responsibility for the Electrical & PCB areas initially.
• Planning, organising & controlling of team members and their workload.
• Co-ordinating the activities in the areas to achieve production targets/schedules.
• Job traveller issuing & sign off.
• Maintaining equipment in proper working condition (set up/adhere to Preventative Maintenance schedules) & ensure proper storage.
• Drive process improvements where possible with other team members.
• Flexibility with working hours & working areas of responsibility and available for overtime when/if required.
• Completion of employee performance reviews.
• Co-ordinating employee training requirements & maintain up to date skills matrix.
• Monitoring lateness and absence control.
• Compliance with H&S policies & procedures & safety auditing.
• Ensure compliance with all Quality requirements and standards.
• Co-ordinate 5S activities in the areas.
• Control employee holiday allocation / planning.
• Maintain positive employee relations through the implementation of Dairymaster policies.
• Be accessible by mobile phone and stay in the responsible production area as much as possible.
• Participate in the monthly supervisor forum.

Skills & Knowledge required:

• Technical qualification in Electrical or Electronics.
• Knowledge & experience of Electrical principles and of products & electrical production processes an advantage..
• Attention to detail & quality conscious mind set essential.
• Job traveller issuing & sign off.
• Be Computer Literate.
• Have very good communication & interpersonal skills.
• Be well organised and capable of working well under pressure when required.
• Be confident, work well on own initiative as well as being a very good team player & leader.
• Be proactive and have the ability to multi-task and prioritise
