Dairymaster are currently recruiting for: Design Engineer

Job Type: Full Time
Location: Dairymaster Global Headquarters, Causeway, Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ireland.

Role

• Design and optimisation of farm buildings for the agricultural sector.
• Develop building drawings and confer with sales department and other personnel.
• Read and interpret design drawings, specify components to ensure conformance with building design and specifications.
• Following instruction, design engineering projects, in line with customer requirements.
• Other duties as needed and assigned.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Excellent Knowledge of the principles of design, sketching, computer-aided design, industrial materials and processes and building methods.
• Strong technical knowledge of engineering principles and industry regulations.
• Strong sense of the aesthetic – an eye for colour and detail and a sense of balance and proportion.
• Be imaginative and persistent and must be able to communicate their ideas visually, verbally, and in writing.
• Proven ability to communicate design and product concepts through 2 and 3 dimensional media, e.g. hand sketching, rendered images, CAD, model making.
• Proven ability to work with AutoCAD Inventor.
• Knowledge of AutoDesk Revit or a similar 3D design package.
• Good understanding of construction methods.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Energy, drive and Enthusiasm – to be a proactive member of the team.
• Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.
• Strong knowledge of Agriculture/Dairying desirable.
• Excellent IT skills must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Logically and technically minded, with excellent organizational and personal management skills.
• Professional and mature attitude to work.
