Location: Dairymaster Global Headquarters, Causeway, Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ireland.

Role

  • Work with Production and Facilities functions to develop, implement & deliver robust strategies for mechanical, electrical, building services & utilities provision and the control of Manufacturing / Facilities related budgets to deliver the most cost-effective results.
  • Assist with the development of maintenance schedules and enforce compliance to these maintenance schedules through the various business functions across the site who have responsibility for the relevant machinery and the areas of the production site.
  • Work with the maintenance function on site to help manage and assist as appropriate with proper maintenance and updating of machinery, develop preventative maintenance schedules, work to ensure those responsible for the operation, maintenance and improvement of all machines do this work within reasonable timeframes and with due diligence.
  • Working with production / facilities, organise and project manage repairs on existing systems / equipment and assist with the design / implementation of maintenance schedules to ensure they remain in proper working order and prepare reports for the facilities function. Log all equipment on the maintenance scheduling and planning software (E-Maint) in collaboration with the facilities function within the plant.
  • Assist as required with the preparation of Training / Cross training materials for other employees on the operation of the equipment in project areas and assist in the development of a training matrix with the production lead in the area / production manager.
  • Be pro-active in the resolution of issues, identify and action opportunities for improvements within the manufacturing environment and promote a continuous improvement culture within the cross functional team.
  • Through continuous improvement & best practice, ensure delivery of mechanical & electrical standards, along with improvements driven through other business functions in maintenance of manufacturing equipment, building infrastructure, building services & utilities provision using co-ordinated corrective, preventative & predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Identify faults or hazards and highlight these to the relevant business function for corrective action within a reasonable timeframe. Troubleshoot and conduct fault finding on machines and system failures, determine the root cause and identify or conduct maintenance repairs as appropriate for handover to facilities.
  • Conduct cost benefit analysis where appropriate for project work or changes relating to new equipment or existing equipment or process changes in accordance with the change management plan, this is for but not limited to items relating to the maintaining, upgrading, and repairing of machinery or electrical systems in terms of output / improved process stability or product quality improvements or health and safety improvement as required.
  • Adhering to safety and performance standards. Ensure that failed assets and equipment when identified are locked and tagged out until made safe.
  • Positively engage with the implementation of new strategies, structures, processes, or procedures by the company.
  • Continually strive to update your own technical knowledge, as well as your understanding of the company products, services, and customer needs. Undertake training as required by management or your direct supervisor.
  • Perform tasks and a range of operations as required by management or your direct supervisor and take responsibility for the quality of your work
  • Maintain a punctual and professional attitude to your work and the working environment. Treat every visitor to the Dairymaster facility in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Provide timely updates of work status and issues with recommendations for improvement or correction.
