System Operations Engineer

Dairymaster are currently recruiting for: SysOps Engineer

Job Type: Full Time
Location: Dairymaster Global Headquarters, Causeway, Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant systems on AWS / On-Premise
• Manage production resources on AWS / On-Premise
• Estimate AWS usage costs and identify weakness in overall system architecture
• Manage and maintain backup and recovery procedures for resources on AWS / On-Premise

Key Requirements:

• Experience administering AWS accounts and services (EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, RDS, DynamoDb)
• Manage and maintain network architecture including VPN connectivity between AWS and On-Premise
• Manage system performance & log monitoring at scale
• Understanding of security concepts with hands-on experience in implementing security controls
• An appreciation for pragmatism and simplicity in systems architecture.
• Collaborate with other engineers and architects to create and maintain tools, technologies and automated processes that enable a DevOps environment
• Ownership of CI/CD, and overall administration of the entire distribution system
• Collaborate with product engineering/QA to plan and build deployment automation
• Plan and execute maintenance procedures
• Consistently improve the overall system uptime, security, and visibility

Desirable extras an advantage:

• Certified AWS SysOps Associate Administrator or a related qualification desirable
• Experience with implementing, managing and monitoring applications and infrastructure with alerting, dashboards and event trending
• Knowledge of SSL certificate lifecycle management
• Experience in Enterprise DevOps environment
• Hands-on experience with the AWS CLI and SDKs/API tools
