Web Developer / Graphic Designer

Dairymaster are currently recruiting for: Web Developer / Graphic Designer

Job Type: Full Time
Location: Dairymaster Global Headquarters, Causeway, Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ireland.

Role

In this role you will play a pivotal role in designing innovative and functional work for multiple websites and some offline graphic work. The ideal candidate will have experience following an iterative design process, starting with sketches, wireframes, prototypes, usability tests, high fidelity prototypes to final pixel perfect UI. You will work with visual guidelines to maintain consistency across the products. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical and design background including a combination of both software development and interactive design.

Requirements & Responsible for:

  • Defining the look and feel for a variety of digital and offline design projects.
  • Developing user centered and engaging responsive web and email layouts.
  • Design on trend, future proof and responsive websites, with a good understanding UX and how animation can bring sites to life.
  • Design innovative digital campaign elements such as landing pages and banner adverts.
  • Manage workload and work to production schedule within agreed timings.
  • Generating ideas and selling them into the team.

Experience required:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years (post-graduation) development experience.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and producing proofed, artwork ready finished designs.
  • Competent to professional level in design – biased towards web design.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, Adobe CC suite applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD, Sketch + Invision, and associated prototyping tools. In-Design, proto, framer, origami or other tools design tools.
  • Professional experience in AngularJS.
  • Experience with Require JS, TypeScript, Highcharts and D3.
  • Understanding of modern web standards and best practices including progressive enhancement/graceful degradation and responsive web design.
  • Commercial experience building non-trivial SPA applications.
  • Hands-on experience of creating wireframes, mockups and rapid prototypes.
  • A strong level of UI, icon and interaction design skills.
  • Very good understanding of UI/UX and site architecture and usability and be able to provide wire frame design for websites.

Viewing of a portfolio either online or soft copy is desirable.
