Job Type: Full Time
Location: Dairymaster Global Headquarters, Causeway, Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ireland.

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing purchasing strategies and oversee the company purchasing structure in the daily activities of sourcing suppliers and purchasing products, equipment, and services. Explore the possibility of centralizing the purchasing function for the business, identifying and fostering relationships with suppliers and vendors and oversee the implementation of the supply and production strategies.

Requirements

• Developing and implementing purchasing strategies and monitor performance.
• Agree the top 5 key performance indicators, define metric & measurement for the area of responsibility.
• Work with internal depts. to achieve these KPIs.
• Set up weekly/ monthly reporting to snr management.
• Managing daily purchasing activities.
• Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines etc.
• Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
• Procure parts and materials at negotiated rate.
• Coordinating with inventory control to determine and manage inventory needs.
• Develop a supply and production plan to ensure timely delivery to our customers.
• Preparing cost estimates and managing budgets.
• Oversee and support employees responsible for purchasing.
• Training new employees in the purchasing process and how to use the purchasing system.

Qualifications:

• Degree in business administration or a related field.
• Experience as a purchasing manager or in a similar position 5 – 10 yrs.
• Deep knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
• Supervisory and management experience.
• Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills.
• Experience in SAP and proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software.

Viewing of a portfolio either online or soft copy is desirable.
