Dairymaster are currently recruiting for: Senior Accountant Role

Job Type: Full Time
Location: Dairymaster Global Headquarters, Causeway, Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ireland.

List of Principal Duties (but not limited to) as of the Commencement Date:

• Assist in preparation of trading company accounts to Trial Balance stage along with compilation of audit file for the purposes of annual external statutory audit
• Assist in preparation of accounts for Dairymaster UK and Dairymaster USA in advance of finalisation of same by external accountants
• Ensure Accounting Financial Reporting Standards are complied with at all times.
• Provide assistance in ensuring Company Taxation statutory filing requirements are met in a timely manner (e.g. bi-monthly VAT returns etc.)
• Provide assistance in ensuring Intrastat and VIES statutory filing requirements are met in a timely manner.
• Compilation and maintenance of Fixed Asset Registers
• Processing of bank account entries and completion of bank reconciliations as and when required to do so.
• Accounts payable duties including processing of purchases invoices and monthly reconciliations of amounts due with creditor statements provided.
• Liaising with MIS department in SAP developments as and when they arise
• Provide assistance in preparation of monthly management accounts for all entities when required to do so.
• Ensure completion of all month end procedures on a timely basis.
• Develop accounting procedures and policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Highlight any anomalies identified to relevant management and ensure follow up investigation of same.
• Identify any opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the company on an ongoing basis.
• Perform any other accounting functions/ ad hoc duties as assigned and presentation of results of same to appropriate person.
