Software Engineer / Application Analyst

Dairymaster are currently recruiting for:  Software Engineer / Application Analyst

Job Type: Full Time
Location: Dairymaster Global Headquarters, Causeway, Tralee, Co. Kerry, Ireland.

Role

  • We are looking for an Application Support Analyst / Developer that ideally has experience of implementing and supporting Enterprise Resource Planning, Manufacturing Execution Systems and Production Scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
  • This position will encompass developing SAP Business One Addons, Webservices, Dashboards, Integration between SAP and 3rd Client API or tools, Crystal Report .
  • The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and keen to take on direct responsibility for the systems.
  • You will need good communication skills and will be happy talking to end users at all levels of the organisation.
  • Experience and a solid knowledge of manufacturing, production scheduling and distribution practices is desirable but not essential.
  • The role will be located in our Global Headquarters in Causeway, Co Kerry, Ireland and will encompass remote user support for our UK and USA operations.

Requirements:

  • Third level Degree in Software Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Experience of the following is a distinct advantage but not a prerequisite: Preactor Production Planning and Scheduling Software or similar, Manufacturing Execution System, SAP Business One
  • Experience of Crystal Report writing
  • Familiarity with the .NET framework
  • Proven C# / .net development skills
  • Strong proficiency with SQL writing Queries, views and stored procedures
  • Understanding of Business Intelligence, Dashboards and visualization.
  • Ability to handle common database procedures-upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
  • Reporting analysis, design, development and testing.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail being vital.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, an ability to understand complex problems and generate appropriate pragmatic technical solutions.
  • Proven ability to analyse technical software development/design issues and manage them to resolution.
  • Energetic and eager to learn and implement new technologies when required.
  • Focused on keeping your knowledge up to date.

Additional skills to be considered:

  • Documentation skills for user training
  • Experience with manufacturing and warehouse distribution
  • Understanding of financial practices in a commercial environment.
